About the Role: 6 Months Internship_ONSITE Only

The UX Research team is looking for a UX Research intern to join our remote Bangalore team. This is a great opportunity for a highly motivated and detail-oriented UX Research Intern to primarily support our team with the crucial task of recruiting participants for our user research studies and conducting basic survey data analysis. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with recruitment and analysis experience and a strong interest in UX research. You will gain hands-on experience in the end-to-end research process within a fast-paced SaaS environment, working alongside experienced UX Researchers.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Assist in identifying the target audience and defining participant criteria for various UX research studies.
  • Help write, program, and manage screener surveys to qualify potential research participants using platforms like [mention specific tools if applicable, e.g., Qualtrics, Google Forms].
  • Manage the participant recruitment process, including outreach via email, scheduling research sessions, and maintaining organized records of participant information and recruitment status.
  • Manage our customer participant research panel, ensuring data accuracy and adherence to privacy guidelines.
  • Work collaboratively with customer-facing business units (e.g. Customer Success, Product Management, Sales, etc) to identify potential customer research participants. 
  • Research and recommend various recruitment channels and strategies to reach specific user groups.
  • Assist with the coordination and distribution of incentives to research participants.
  • Manage analysis of recruitment metrics to track progress and identify areas for improvement.
  • Help plan and run UX research sessions, including user interviews, surveys, and remote usability tests. This might involve setting up meeting invites, preparing interview guides, and handling basic technical setup for sessions.
  • Take detailed notes during user interviews and testing sessions. You’ll capture key observations, quotes, and behaviors to help the team remember important insights.
  • Work with the team to synthesize research findings. For qualitative data, organize and highlight common themes from interview notes. For quantitative data, crunch numbers in Google Sheets/Excel (e.g. survey results or usability metrics) to identify patterns or trends.
  • Contribute to creating simple presentations in Google Slides to share what we learn. You might build slides or charts that highlight user pain points and recommendations. Over time, you’ll get a chance to help present these findings to the team, building your storytelling skills.

Who you are: 

  • Experience with some form of recruitment (e.g., customer recruitment, survey participant recruitment, administrative or job recruitment).
  • You have basic knowledge about user experience (UX) research methodologies and principles of user-centered design; AND a deep interest in continuously learning more.
  • Good understanding of data analysis concepts and proficiency in using spreadsheet software (e.g., Google Sheets, Microsoft Excel) and Generative AI tools for data analysis.
  • Demonstrated ability to quickly learn and adapt to new software applications and online tools.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a can-do attitude and a willingness to experiment with new ideas for recruitment.
  • Must be a self-starter, demonstrate initiative, and take a proactive approach to tasks.
  • Strong organizational skills and a meticulous attention to detail. You have a knack for keeping things orderly. Whether it’s notes, data, or your own task list, you pay attention to details.
  • Be a quick learner -possesses a strong aptitude for learning new technologies and processes quickly
  • An ability to multi-task and handle multiple projects and requests at a time in a very fast-paced environment
  • You enjoy working in a team and collaborating with others to solve problems. You like helping others solve problems and are willing to teach others what you know.
  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program in a relevant field (e.g., Psychology, Sociology, Communications, Business, HR, L&D, Human-Computer Interaction) or a recent graduate.

Preferred:

  • Currently pursuing or have completed a degree in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Psychology, Sociology, Anthropology, Design Research, Communications, Data Analytics, Market Research, or a related field.
  • Previous experience with conducting surveys, interviews, and data collection.
  • Familiarity with basic user experience (UX) concepts, such as usability, accessibility, and user-centered design.
  • Experience with different recruitment and/or research tools like: User Interviews, Respondont.io, Condens, AI-based analysis or data collection tools, etc
