What do you get to do?
- Owning the quality and delivery of technical documentation, and other customer-facing content materials.
- Revising all the product content and keeping them updated with ongoing feature releases and updates
- Creating clear and well-structured documentation and how-to guides that reduce ambiguity and enable quick integration with Whatfix.
- Proactively, detect and address inconsistencies and information gaps in all forms of customer-facing content.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in translating and localizing technical support content, such as knowledge base articles, FAQs, user guides, UI and UX content and customer communications, from English to German.
- Work closely with the German Localization Specialist to ensure accurate and culturally relevant translations, while maintaining consistency and clarity.
- Collaborate with the IDG team to understand customer requirements and identify localization needs.
- Conduct research to ensure accurate translation of industry-specific terms and concepts.
- Proofread and review translated content to ensure linguistic accuracy, proper grammar, and adherence to Whatfix's style and terminology guidelines.
- Provide feedback and suggestions for improvement to enhance the quality and usability of localized content.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of a German glossary and style guide to ensure consistency across translations.
- Maintain a Do-Not-Translate list and a Glossary
- Support cross-functional teams, such as Product Management and Marketing, in localization efforts for product launches and marketing campaigns.
- Stay up to date with the latest localization tools and technologies to streamline translation processes and improve efficiency.
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives by identifying areas for optimization and implementing best practices.
Qualifications:
- Completed a C1 level certification in German or equivalent language proficiency.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in German.
- Proficiency in English, enabling effective communication with English-speaking team members.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality translations.
- Familiarity with translation and localization concepts and tools is a plus.
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines.
- Cultural awareness and sensitivity to adapt translations to the target audience's cultural context.
- Enthusiasm for learning and eagerness to contribute to a fast-paced and dynamic team environment.
